And The Winner Is.....

Congratulations to Ed Thilenius of Flowery Branch Georgia...for the most innovative outrageously fun dinner party idea. Not only has Ed and his wife Debbie won blog bragging rights, but they will receive a three-course dinner from GourmetStation for three months in a row.  What's the big idea - read on.

Dear Friends,
The key to having an outrageous dinner party is to have fun! period, end of story. The way to have fun is to involve your guests in the dinner. Many times a host or hostess will not delegate, take on the WHOLE meal on his/her own, and no one has any part in it. The worse case scenario, is that everyone has enjoyed their adult beverages, and dinner has come and gone, and then time to go home. As the cars leave the house, the dinner guests probably will not remember the appetizer, who made the salad, etc.
The solution?!? Okay, we know that the dinner is held at someone's home, right? Well, chances are very good that their is a grill in the back. How about multiple ovens, or even a toaster oven somewhere. The solution is to have a competition of the sexes! Have the men prepare the Tuscan or French breads on the grill. Pre-heat grill, (remember, they will be outside, and out of the ladies' way) toss in some hickory or oak chips for that "wood fired taste" and one will have an excellent bread for their meal. Has anyone ever thought about their outdoor fireplace? The chiminera is actually an outdoor oven. Outdoor_fireplace Toss in a few red bricks, placed flat next to each other, and voila! you have a european style oven ready to bake flat breads, heat up pizzas, and of course, the breads from Gourmet Station!! The host of the house, can then divide and conquer, who does what in the kitchen.
Always remember, have fun! Gourmet Station has done all the work for you. Your job is to enjoy life.
Cheers!
